Take a romantic trip through the cosmos with Xenia Sky, http://www.xeniasky.com/ a poetry student at The New School in NYC, who brings her powerful, evocative voice and dreamy song-craft to the CD on her cut, “Telescope.” Sky, who released her first demos at age 15 won acclaim for her national television appearance on “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon”. Sky graciously donated this song, previously released on her 2011 CD, “Way Back Home” to The Downtown All-Stars of Red Bank’s debut charity CD, “Bright Lights on Broad Street.”

Red Bank All-Stars Board Member Darren Johnson approached Sky about participating in the summer of 2013.
“I tried to listen to as many different performers as I could in the Red Bank music scene, and open mic nights were a great place. I was in Jamian’s one Sunday night, and that’s where I met Xenia. I told her a little about what we were doing and she was on board right away.”

Sky’s Bio reads like a inspirational sermon for emerging singer-songwriters. At the tender age of 20, she’s recorded and released a full length album, toured the country opening for acts like Melissa Ferrick, Marshall Crenshaw and Amy Kuney. Sky’s organized two successful benefit concerts, Songwriters for SICA–which raised funding for the arts in a slow economy, and an earthquake victims relief concert called Voices for Haiti—both incorporating local artists and poets. Sky’s guitar playing is described as “percussive”, and she is also fluent on the piano, mandolin and ukulele.

Sky is currently supporting her new EP release “Ghost of Jupiter,” which was recorded in Asheville, North Carolina at Echo Mountain Recording Studio with producer/engineer Jon Ashley (Band of Horses, Dawes, Azure Ray)
